Technologický park Brno was established as a PPP project. Its current majority shareholder is the Statutory City of Brno. The company cooperates with the Brno University of Technology, which holds the company’s golden share as its founding partner.
The park layout is divided into several zones, which should be progressively constructed in phases, and the total built-up area will be approx. 135,000 m2. Construction of office spaces, high-tech production areas, services and retail premises as well as residential zones located throughout the park is envisaged in these zones. These are low-density development zones that will offer a large proportion of landscaped green areas. Furthermore, the park is surrounded by natural greenery and protected areas, which makes the entire environment very pleasant.
To date, the first phase of construction has been implemented, providing a total of 56,500 m2 of space for rent, and construction of the second phase, the so-called “Central Zone”, has started.
Zone A covers an area of 5 hectares and a total of five office buildings, which offer 30,500 m2 of office space.
Zone B covers an area of 5 hectares with five buildings with mixed spaces used mainly for light high-tech production with a total rentable area of 26,000 m2.
Central zone - the first three office buildings out of a total of eight have been built so far. Buildings A, B and C cover a total area of 11,035 m2.
The next phase of commercial construction includes up to 95,000 m2 with an underground parking facility, water features, greenery and a bicycle path.
Residential area intended for employees of TPB clients and the general public. The plan considers up to 30,000 m2 of gross floor area for single-family houses and blocks of flats including parking spaces and extensive greenery. It should also offer civic amenities, including education and sports facilities, etc.
